The Forest Policy Group is dedicated to the development of well founded, clearly presented policy proposals for government and its agencies. FPG also aims to stimulate a wider debate about forestry in Scotland, and to provide a voice for those who otherwise find it challenging to represent their views in the policy arena. It acts by:
- providing an independent forum for analysing policy and engaging with the Scottish Government and with other policy organisations;
- producing policy-related research, proposals and think-pieces;
- facilitating networking amongst its members in order to maximise the effectiveness of their policy contributions;
- contributing to policy debates.
